Questions to ask a prospective Dentist

When finding a new dentist, it is important to ask them some key questions to find a reputable one. Here is a list of good questions to ask:

1) How long have you been a practicing Dentist and what Dental School did you attend? Ask to see their diploma or certificates of continuing education.
2) Are their any specialists at this practice? It can be easier to schedule appointments and coordinate care if the office also has an oral surgeon, orthodontist, etc.
3) Will you be available at night or on the weekend in case of an emergency? You won’t want to have to find a dentist that will see you during an emergency.
4) Do you own the practice of does someone else? A Dentist who owns his or her practice or is a partner has a greater stake in providing excellent patient care.

8) Does the Dentist have any patient referrals that you may contact or testimonials you may read? Take the time to review them.
